Security

With businesses requiring systems that are more open and available from a wide variety of devices and from just about anywhere in the world it is imperative these days for a company to have total confidence in the security of its network and data.

Hackers, Viruses and disgruntled employees, these are just come of the ways your network can be attacked or your valuable business data get in to the wrong hands.

The threat to your company’s reputation could be terminal if your network’s security is compromised. As a standard service to our clients a full security check is carried out on your network as part of our Client Take-On procedure.

This ensures that you are always protected against the latest threat. With our automated Anti-Virus Update software you can rest assured that every day any new updates are installed automatically on your systems with out any interference to your staff.

Two-Factor Authentication

This is a technology designed to add a further layer to the normal User Name and Password based form of user authentication. It is based on the principal that you must both know something, i.e. your user name and password and also have something physical.

This can be either :-

A. A key ring sized “Token” which gives you a different unique PIN number which you must type in every time you logon. This is security keyed to the server and there are billions of combinations.

Or

B. A Smart Card which must be inserted into a reader attached to the PC. Again this provides ID unique to that particular user.
